Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Support Worker – Clinical Care for our Main Theatres Department. We support 19 operating theatres across a range of specialties and offer full NHS benefits, induction, training, and opportunities for professional growth.

You will move patients, assist in peri-operative care, and help maintain a safe environment for procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous Healthcare Assistant experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full support and training will be provided.
• Attend and complete a Trust induction program.

Responsibilities

• Move patients between wards, theatres and Recovery departments.
• Assist in patient care during the peri-operative period with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support Theatre personnel to maintain a safe, high-quality environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist Clinical Practitioners with procedures and provide basic patient care.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure safety and documentation in line with Trust policies.
• Assist in patient transfer to and from the ward and within day theatres as required.
• Support safe handling and positioning of patients for surgical procedures.
