Job summary

Georgia Highlands College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Theater at multiple Northwest Georgia campuses (Floyd, Cartersville, Marietta, Paulding). Responsibilities include preparing for and delivering Theater courses, using syllabi, and assessing student learning outcomes.

This role reports to the Division Chair for the School of Humanities and offers a flexible schedule with day, evening, or weekend teaching at the instructional sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 hours of graduate-level theater courses.
• Available to teach day, evening, or weekends at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi
• Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
• Adopt and implement common course objectives
• Attend part-time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes
