Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct(Temporary, part-time) theatre arts instructor pool. In this role you will teach courses in theatre arts, with opportunities during the day, evening, online, and at off-campus sites.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least one of the listed degree combinations or equivalent.
• Credentials must reflect expertise in drama/theater arts and pedagogy.
• Emphasis on understanding diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
• Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online courses and/or off-campus sites.

Education

Master's or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theaterarts/performance

Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance AND Master's in comparativeliterature, English, Communication studies, speech, literature or humanities OR the Equivalent

Antelope Valley College Equivalency

Any Master's degree AND at least 5 years of experience in theater direction, technical theater direction, and/or musical theater direction

California Single Subject Theater Teaching Credential

Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater/performance AND a masters with at least 30 upper division and graduate credits in drama/theaterarts/performance with minimum 15 at graduate level
