Job summary

The Theater Center in New York is seeking motivated interns for Fall 2026. Interns will commit to a fixed schedule of 10 hours per week for 10 weeks, Sept 28 through Dec 4, with some flexibility for holidays or start/end dates.

The primary project is curating and managing the Making It Happen: Festival of 10 Minute Plays, from submission to final performances. Interns can contribute to Marketing, PR, design, video, social, and stage management.

Qualifications

• Commit to a fixed schedule of 10 hours per week for 10 weeks (two 5-hour days).
• Submissions due by October 12th and handling of festival timeline is part of the intern's scope.
• Self-starters who also like being part of a team; no coffee runs or errands.

Responsibilities

• Help curate, organize, and manage The Theater Center’s Making It Happen: Festival of 10 Minute Plays.
• Assist with submissions, rehearsals, and performances.
• Contribute to one or more areas: Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Video Production, Social Media, Theater Management, Sponsorship, Sound/Lighting/Wardrobe, Stage Management.
