Job summary

Orlando Shakespeare Theater is seeking a personable Bartender to support performances and events in our front-of-house operations. This part-time, non-exempt role handles setup, service, inventory, cash handling, and compliance, delivering warm, efficient service to patrons, artists, donors, and volunteers.

You will work varied shifts (8 AM–11 PM on event days), up to 20 hours per week, with pay at $12 per hour plus tips. Candidates must be 21+ with prior bartending or hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of bartending, concessions, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience operating POS systems and processing credit card transactions.
• Professional appearance and attitude; strong customer service skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification and theater/live-event venue experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, artists, donors, and volunteers.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere reflecting hospitality and inclusion.
• Respond to patron questions and provide information on venue and policies.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Work with front-of-house staff, volunteers, production staff, and caterers.
• Maintain clean, organized bar and concession areas and handle cashless payments.
