Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for inpatient care. You will provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN/LPN supervision, supporting a busy unit with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and maintains required competencies.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Education
