Job summary

The Balusters is holding auditions in Los Angeles for performers. Only local talent will be considered. Please prepare two contrasting monologues, each no longer than one minute, or one monologue plus 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song. An accompanist will be provided.

Shakespeare auditions require a Shakespeare monologue. Bring a headshot and résumé. No phone calls, please. Auditions will pay according to LORT scales, with at least a weekly minimum specified for each tier.

Qualifications

• Local talent only; residents of the Los Angeles area encouraged to audition.
• Prepare two contrasting monologues, no more than 1 minute each.
• Or one monologue no more than 1 minute and 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song.
• An accompanist will be provided for the audition.
• For Shakespeare auditions, present a Shakespeare monologue.
• Please bring 1 headshot/resume.

Rate:

• LORT Non-Rep
• $1320 weekly minimum (LORT B+)
• $1213 weekly minimum (LORT B)
• $1114 weekly minimum (LORT C)
• All stages will be paying at least $1397 weekly minimum.
