Job summary

Khao Sen in Fuquay Varina, NC is seeking friendly servers to join our busy Thai restaurant. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, and help ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience.

Ideal candidates are self-driven, reliable, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting. Prior restaurant experience is preferred; strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience required, Thai restaurant preferred
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Understanding of safety and health procedures
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Basic math skills to handle customer payment and make change, as applicable
• Ability to work in standing position for extended periods of time
• Safely lift, bend, carry up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe guest dining experience to anticipate their needs
• Remove guest dinnerware, replenish utensils, refill water glasses, and respond to other customer needs
• Extensive working knowledge of the menu and ingredients to assist guests in food and beverage selections as well as address concerns related to food preparation or dietary needs
• Food allergies, food sensitivities or other special customer requests must be clearly communicated with kitchen
• Working knowledge of table and seat numbers as well as position points to ensure accurate dish presentation
• Enter orders accurately into POS
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure dining areas are clean prior to the start of service and maintain cleanliness throughout service
• Process customer payment accurately
• Maintain a neat appearance and clean service areas
