VIVA USA Inc in New York is seeking a Safety-conscious technician to support gas and chemical delivery operations. The role involves learning and performing routine maintenance, daily rounds, and safety inspections in a warehouse-like environment.

Initial training lasts about 3 months with up to 6 years to full qualification. The contract role may convert to full-time based on business needs and performance; candidates must be able to work day and night shifts.

Responsabilidades

• Support correct delivery procedures and transfer operations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem escalation.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team activities and training.
• Complete local qualification requirements within 12 months.
• Adhere to HS&E standards including PPE and Lockout/Tagout.

Total Gas and Chemical Management (TGCM): An outsourced industrial service model used in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing for handling, supplying, and monitoring specialty gases and chemicals safely.

Looking for candidates who are committed, coachable, and able to strictly follow rules and regulations.

While we value experience, we are focusing on personality and potential; we will provide ongoing training to get the right person up to speed. Please note that it typically takes 3 months to learn the processes and up to 6 years to fully qualify and comprehend all day-to-day operations

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
• Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas/chemical equipment.
• Conduct daily rounds, including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online systems, and performing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
• Monitor and execute correct liquid bulk delivery and trailer transfer procedures.
• Provide initial evaluations and obtain assistance for technical problem situations.
• Serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Complete TGCM Tech 5 local OJT and qualification requirements within 12 months.
• Participate in safety, training, and operations programs.
• Support the training of TGCM contractors as needed.
• Comply with all HS&E Standards (PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, etc.).
• Perform minor analytical and sampling procedures.
• Oversee hazardous waste handling, including proper transfer, documentation, labeling, and spill response procedures.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude and self-motivation to learn.
• Ability to abide by stringent safety and quality rules.
• Aptitude for problem-solving in emergency or high-stress situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 11 hours per day.
• Ability to operate a hydraulic foot pump for 55-gallon drums.
• Capacity for constant bending and wearing a respirator as required.
• Adherence to onsite face mask mandates.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the semiconductor, chemical/specialty gas, military technical/electronic, or nuclear fields.

The ideal candidate should possess:

Walking 5,000-10,000 steps/day in 350,000-400,000sq ft building, looking for inexperienced candidates looking to start a career transitioning from fast food; do not have to have manufacturing background

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new processes quickly.

A foundational understanding of warehouse functions.

A positive attitude and a high level of adaptability.

Notes:

Candidates must be available and willing to work BOTH day and night shifts.

Estimated hours per week: 36/48

Work Schedule: Will initially be M-F -8hr days for 1 week for Onboarding. Day Shift 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM exact days to be determined

This is a contract role with the possibility of conversion to full-time based on business needs and performance
