Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Roanoke, AL is hiring a Counter-Sorter to handle, sort and record incoming soiled textiles from customers in a fast-paced laundry environment. You will identify damaged textiles, transfer items to the appropriate departments, and report to the Production Manager.

This is a non-exempt, physically active role demanding attention to safety and accuracy. You will work as part of a team, assist with production flow, and adapt to daily operational needs.

Qualifications

• Physical task readiness including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented with flexibility to perform different tasks.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, sort by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Wear and follow PPE policies.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
