Job summary

SERVPRO of Carbondale/Marion is seeking a Textile Cleaning Technician to perform restoration processes and maintain equipment appearance. The role emphasizes knowledge of laundry textiles and material types, and efficient use of tablets to manage inventories.

You will prepare work areas, follow safety guidelines, communicate with supervisors, and help keep warehouses and job sites clean. A strong work ethic and good communication are valued in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in cleaning, restoration, or laundry preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of laundry textiles and material types is highly recommended.
• Utilizing tablets to manage laundry and textile inventories.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Perform restoration processes as directed.
• Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
• Communicate with supervisor and other technicians to maintain efficient restoration processes.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
• Maintain an organized warehouse space. Clean and maintain the warehouse, office, and grounds, as assigned.
• Develop restoration expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.
• Other tasks/duties as required by employer.
