Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva seeks a dependable Textile Production team member to grade, price, tag, hang, and prepare donated clothing for sale. You will evaluate merchandise for quality and condition, maintaining steady production flow to keep goods moving to the sales floor.

In this hands-on role you’ll help turn donations into revenue to support Goodwill's programs, work with the Retail team, and grow skills in quality control, pricing, merchandising, and store operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production standards.
  • Flexible availability including Sundays through Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect donated clothing and textiles for quality and condition.
  • Determine whether items should be sold, salvaged, recycled, or discarded according to standards.
  • Price and tag approved merchandise using the Celerant system.
  • Hang and organize garments by category, size, and price.
  • Maintain a steady production pace while meeting daily goals and quality standards.
  • Identify high-quality, vintage, branded, or unique merchandise for possible e-Commerce.
  • Keep workstation and production areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Work with Retail team to maintain efficient product flow and support store operations.

Position Summary

The Textile Production position grades, prices, tags, hangs, and prepares donated clothing and textiles for sale. This role evaluates merchandise for quality and condition, prepares approved items according to store standards, and maintains a steady production flow to keep quality merchandise moving to the sales floor.

The work you do helps turn donated clothing into revenue that supports employment opportunities and Goodwill's programs throughout our communities.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect donated clothing and textiles for quality and condition.

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
