Job summary

The Goodwill of Lorain County is seeking a Textile Production Associate (Part-time) in Elyria, OH to support daily textile production, sorting, tagging, and staging donated goods to meet quality and pace goals. You will keep work areas tidy, follow safety procedures, and communicate with teammates.

A HS diploma or GED is preferred; factory/assembly experience is a plus. This role offers steady hours in a collaborative environment where you contribute to community programs and help customers

Position summary:

The Production Associate is responsible for the production of quality textile goods for Goodwill customers. Typical tasks include sorting, tagging, and staging products in a quick and efficient manner, while maintaining production goals and quality standards set by Goodwill.

Essential functions:

• Consistently meet production requirements, per Goodwill production standards, while working with management in maintaining an efficient flow of processed merchandise.
• Use sound judgment in sorting/producing donations, ensuring items of value are not discarded.
• Maintain Goodwill quality standards when processing and pricing donations.
• Communicate with materials handler and/or management about any shortage of materials or necessary services.
• Prepare necessary paperwork as required for production operations reporting; maintain integrity and accuracy in reporting actual production and other information requested by management in a timely fashion.
• Work with management in solving problems while remaining flexible in adjusting to changes in operations and scheduling requirements.
• Sort, pull, display, and arrange merchandise as instructed by store management.
• Maintain all work areas in a neat and orderly manner and assist in general housekeeping tasks including maintaining floors (sweep, dust, vacuum, mop),
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Attend safety training and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees.
• Promote positive teamwork among co-workers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
