Job summary

Lear Corporation in North Carolina is seeking a Dyehouse Jet Operator to load machines, calibrate jets per SOP, record settings, and dispatch swatches. The role requires following safety standards and working with the Launch/Product Engineering team to meet product requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of textile manufacturing methods and defects.
• Problem solving with 8D and PPS knowledge.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Lean improvement methods: Standardized work, 5S, SMED, 7 wastes, visual management, Andon.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards and ensure team compliance.
• Plan, monitor, and appraise results; coach and discipline staff.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, cost and efficiency.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps and equipment.
• Complete production plan by scheduling personnel and priorities.
• Collaborate with Launch/Product Engineering to meet requirements.
• Ensure changes are controlled through ECR/change processes.
• Maintain quality; stop processing if standards are not met.
• Provide manufacturing data and respond to requests.
• Create/revise systems and procedures to improve operations.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment per Safety/5S policies.
• Partner with Safety & IATF to address issues.
• Complete accident/incident investigations.
• Mentor and develop staff; manage production personnel and scheduling.
• Promote Kaizens and lean initiatives.

Education
