Job summary

Premier Brands Group Holdings, a global leader in apparel, denim, and jewelry, seeks a Textile Associate in New York. The role focuses on fabric development, sourcing, and maintaining fabric libraries, collaborating with Design and Production to ensure timely production.

Responsibilities include maintaining fabric charts in Excel, coordinating with mills for lab dips and strike-offs, ensuring on-time approvals and shipments, and addressing test results with Fabric Directors to determine next

Qualifications

  • Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Be very organized and detail oriented.
  • Time management and ability to multi-task.
  • Aesthetic and brand understanding.
  • In woven and knit construction and development.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with fabric sourcing and development.
  • MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fabric charts in MS Excel.
  • Coordinate with mills to confirm T&A for lab dips and strike-offs.
  • Check in submissions for approval.
  • Provide color standards to suppliers to start development.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time approval and shipment of fabrics.
  • Review testing reports and work with Fabric Directors on failures and next steps.
  • Oversee bulk shipments, ensuring ETD/ETA, and coordinate with factories to obtain inspection reports.
  • Maintain quality standards for Fabric Directors to compare with bulk fabrics.
  • Organize bulk lots.
  • Maintain seasonal fabric library records for sourcing.
  • Collaborate with Design and Production to establish fabric production flow.
  • Answer daily emails and coordinate with fabric partners.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Textile Associate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • and maintain fabric charts in MS Excel
  • with mill’s to cfm T&A for l/dips and strike off submits
  • and check in submits for approval
  • color standards to suppliers to start the development process.
  • follow up with vendors to insure that our fabrics will be approved on time and shipped on time.
  • testing reports as received and work with Fabric Directors on any failed results and what the next steps should be.
  • through on bulk shipments making sure we have ETD/ ETA for all and working with fty’s upon receipt to receive inspection reports of shipped fabrics.
  • Quality standards for Fabric Directors to compare with bulk fabrics
  • and organizing of bulk lots
  • and maintain seasonal fabric library record for effective sourcing/counter sourcing of variety of fabrics
  • textile manager, working closely with Design and Production teams to establish and facilitate fabric production flow.
  • answering daily emails and working with fabric partners to facilitate proper replies.

Salary Range: 65K - 75K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
