Job summary

YPAI invites native or near-native English speakers to label and interpret text data from home. You will label names, entities, sentiment and intents, and you will link references to the correct items in the models' knowledge base.

The work is flexible in hours and location, with pay per hour and project-based tests. Work examples involve tagging people, places and organizations, classifying requests and sentiment, and marking relationships in sentences.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native command of the language you annotate.
• A reliable internet connection and comfort learning a new web-based tool.
• 18 years or older.

Job description

Read text in your own language and label what it means, paid and from home. It suits native or near-native speakers who are comfortable learning a new web tool. Annotation experience is a plus, not a requirement.

What to expect

• Each project has its own guideline and label set, so the tasks change from one project to the next.
• You pass initial test tasks before working on project batches.
• Every batch is reviewed. Items that miss the acceptance criteria come back to you to fix.

• 18 years or older.

Good to know

• Work depends on the projects running in your own language. There can be gaps between projects.
• Some projects give the same text to several annotators to measure how often they agree.

Pay

$16-$24/hr. Rate shown is for the United States. This role is open in 12 countries, with local rates; pick your country on YPAI.

YPAI pays every two weeks for approved work via PayPal, Wise or bank transfer. Work is by invitation after your profile is reviewed.
