Job summary
Fairfield University’s Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies invites applications for a full-time faculty position to teach in the Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program in Austin, TX. Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing required.
- Doctoral degree in nursing, or enrolled in a doctoral program, preferred.
- Active unencumbered Texas nursing license required.
- Minimum of two years of experience as nursing faculty.
- Academic or nursing leadership experience aligned with the program’s mission.
- Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development and competency-based assessment.
- Innovative curricular development and simulation pedagogy experience.
- Experience teaching population health, mental health, research, and introductory nursing courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program in Austin, TX, in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
- Incorporate competency-based assessment and simulation pedagogy.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program outcomes.
