Qualifications

Earned master's degree in Political Science, Government, or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Teach up to six (6) semester credit hours per term in Texas Government.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or labs for undergraduate/graduate students.
Develop syllabi, select materials, and design assessments (exams, quizzes, papers).
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback to inform teaching practices.
Foster active learning, critical thinking, and student engagement across modalities.
Provide academic guidance during office hours and maintain adherence to policies.
