Job summary

CompHealth is recruiting for a surgical specialist to cover in-house calls with rapid response (30 minutes). The role encompasses trauma, laparoscopic, head/neck, breast, and vascular procedures, plus GI endoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, and PA catheters in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Housing and travel are arranged, with a dedicated recruiter to handle credentialing and privileging. Leave coverage opportunities may arise, and compensation is negotiated with weekly deposits.

Qualifications

• In-house call experience required for immediate response (30 minutes).
• Trauma and laparoscopic surgery skills are required.
• Head/neck, breast, vascular surgery experience needed.
• GI endoscopy including upper, lower, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy required.
• Chest tube, central line, and PA catheter placement skills needed.

Job description

• In-house call only -- 30-minute call response time required
• 1 - 3 patients per shift; 1 - 3 admissions per call
• Both inpatient and outpatient setting -- adult patients only
• Trauma surgery and laparoscopic surgery skills required
• Head/neck, breast, and vascular surgery experience required
• GI endoscopy -- upper, lower, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy required
• Chest tube, central line, and PA catheter placement required
