Job summary

Barton Associates, Inc. seeks a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) for a locum tenens assignment in Texas. The 96-day position starts 03/02/2026 and involves 2x12-hour shifts and 2x10-hour shifts per week, with one day off per week as scheduled.

The CAA will provide medical direction for Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Gynecology, with Cerner EHR documentation. Texas license required. Potential extension after the initial period.

Qualifications

• Texas medical license required.
• Experience in Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Gynecology preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care and medical direction for a variety of surgical cases.
• Collaborate with the anesthesiology team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Manage pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
• Utilize the Cerner EHR system for documentation and patient management.
• Adapt to a dynamic schedule and diverse case load.
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
