Connectly Recruiting partnered with an established Texas law firm to recruit a Texas-licensed attorney for civil litigation and creditors' rights. This role centers on courtroom appearances and settlement negotiations, with four days per week in hearings across an assigned Texas territory.

You will work with a seasoned legal and administrative team, handle pleadings, motions, discovery, and case management, and travel for court appearances with travel expenses reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
• Ability to independently handle court appearances and manage multiple hearings.
• Demonstrated skills in case evaluation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting matters in court.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, including managing a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology or case management systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal and administrative colleagues.
• Sound legal judgment, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and responsive client service.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within an assigned territory for court proceedings.

Responsabilités

• Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings throughout an assigned Texas territory, averaging approximately four days per week in court.
• Independently handle courtroom appearances, present case information, and advocate for clients in civil litigation and collection-related matters.
• Review and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other necessary legal documentation.
• Evaluate case details and determine appropriate strategies for litigation and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, self-represented litigants, and other involved parties.
• Oversee assigned cases and ensure matters progress efficiently through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with clients, internal legal staff, and opposing counsel regarding case status and resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, meet court deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures.
