Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC seeks an instrumentation technician to support building and maintaining instrumentation systems, ensuring accurate data for the Engineering Department. You'll read electrical schematics, assist in installation, check-out, operation, and calibration, and operate DAS and other recording equipment on complex projects.

You may travel to remote domestic locations for extended periods to support offsite programs; ability to travel and work hands-on with avionics instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Support building and maintenance of instrumentation systems to provide measurement data for the Engineering Department.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics and harness builds for instrumentation and control equipment.
• Assist in preparation, installation, check-out and operation of instrumentation systems, and calibration tasks to ensure data accuracy.
• Operate DAS and other recording equipment as required on projects.

Job description

Instrumentation technician touch labor to support building and maintenance of instrumentation systems to provide measurement data required by the Engineering Department. Apply instructions prepared by technicians in the form of travelers, assist in the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of instrumentation systems, follow planned maintenance / calibration, read and interpret electrical wiring schematics, harness build and on aircraft integration, wire terminations, sensor installation and prep and standard operating procedures for all instrumentation and control equipment in order to maintain accuracy of data and ensure its validity, and operate DAS and other recording equipment.

Need technician (touch labor) resources with instrumentation skillset. May require ability to travel to remote domestic locations for extended periods of time to support offsite program requirements.
