Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Testing Technician to calibrate and troubleshoot instruments. The successful candidate must independently coordinate the order and priority of instruments to be calibrated and troubleshot based on current open sales orders and production schedules.

This role will document calibration results, become the process owner, and cross-train others. The position involves working with Manufacturing Engineering and Sustaining Engineering to resolve issues, with compensation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience with calibration of complex products
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must read and follow assembly/test procedures
• Strong cross-functional communication skills
• Familiarity with yield and parametric data collection and presentation

Responsibilities

• Hands-On calibration technician responsible for the forward production flow of all systems spanning the entire product line
• Manage the workflow for 2 products in conjunction with the production schedule
• Cross Training of additional technician resources as required
• Process ownership for Instrument calibration and quality output result
• Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Manufacturing Engineering and Sustaining Engineering groups for collective analysis and trend identification
• Other related duties as assigned.

The Testing Technician is responsible for the day-to-day calibration and troubleshooting of instruments. The successful candidate must independently coordinate the order and priority of instruments to be calibrated / troubleshot based on current open sales order lists and / or production schedules. This person will also become the process owner and will cross-train others as required. This person will document calibration results and will work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues that may arise.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience calibrating complex products and sub-assemblies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly and test procedures
• Must have effective cross functional communications skills
• Familiarity with yield and parametric data collection and presentation
