Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Testing Technician to perform intermediate level testing, set up facilities and instrumentation, and support engineers in developing testing capabilities. You will analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to QA and 5S initiatives within a collaborative team environment.

The role requires HVAC experience or an associated degree, EPA refrigerant handling, and strong mechanical and electrical test skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate's Degree + 1 year OR at least 4 years HVAC directly related experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License.
• Brazing, piping, basic wiring skills.
• 208/230/460V 3-phase 60 Hz wiring.
• Instrumentation and low volt wiring.
• General mechanical skills and ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype builds.
• Must have good working knowledge and skills in testing related to temperature, pressure, and electrical property measurement.
• Good planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills are required.
• Must be team oriented.

• Conduct tests, analyze data and make modifications to units being tested within limits of intermediate nature.
• Requires timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Participate in 5S improvement programs

The Testing Technician is an intermediate level position for testing with sufficient experience to handle most assignments. The Technician will perform routine testing and make adaptations to units exercising a limited degree of judgment.
