Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Assist special education teachers and staff in facilitating and managing testing room/environment, for ESS/504 students ensuring they receive appropriate testing instruments and accommodations/modifications.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • Facilitate and manage a small testing room/environment for ESS/504 students
  • Assure that students with disabilities are given appropriate testing instruments and accommodations/modifications.
  • Review student testing accommodations/modifications and provide as necessary during testing sessions. (ex. Read-aloud, provide calculators, reword questions, etc.)
  • Monitor student progress during the test
  • Collect completed tests and return them to assigning teacher
  • Attend training sessions sponsored by CCUSD / Exceptional Student Services on the policies and procedures for conducting a proper test administration and for reviewing and processing test materials.
  • Take accurate records of students who access the testing room including documentation of the individual accommodation(s) provided to students per IEP/ 504
  • Generate a monthly report of testing services rendered
  • Account for and maintain the security and integrity of test materials.
  • Inform the administration of any breach of security, loss of test materials, etc.
  • Implement the school system’s testing policies and procedures and advocate for the establishment of any needed school policies and procedures to ensure all eligible students are tested.
  • Encourage a positive testing atmosphere.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of individual student information, records, and scores.
  • Assure that the proper testing environment is maintained for all students,
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with SpEd Administrator, ESS Department Lead and Special Education Coordinator.
  • Attend monthly Special Education Department meetings.
  • Provide information to the District Test Coordinator as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
JOB TITLE: TESTING ROOM ATTENDANT QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency Skills: Reading, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to deal with multiple tasks and support multiple students.
  • Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail.
  • Preferred- knowledge/skill with PowerSchool.
  • Preferred- taking data and input into Google Sheet.
  • Preferred- the ability to read and implement IEP/504 Accommodations.
