Job summary

Chapin Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Testing Lab Technician to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance through precise testing and data recording.

You will prepare samples, run tests, and collaborate with QC, production and engineering to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and manufacturing/testing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under time constraints with minimal supervision in a fast-paced lab environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, product testing or quality control.
• Familiarity with tools used in mechanical/manufacturing trades.
• Ability to work under time constraints and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental and functional tests for new product evaluation and general lab support.
• Prepare test procedures, set-up data sheets, and write test reports.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment and data acquisition hardware.
• Record results accurately and maintain permanent lab records.
• Collaborate with quality control, production and engineering to troubleshoot and improve lab processes.
