DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answers and manages incoming calls and dispatches technicians to precise locations at necessary times.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, leaders, and team members.
  • Uses appropriate application tools to effectively distribute team members and balance workload.
  • Relays information and instructions to technicians, inspectors, and other project stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Maintains communication with clients, technicians, and inspectors to coordinate and prioritize schedules day-to-day.
  • Documents conversations with clients and prepares work orders.
  • Organizes laboratory sample retrieval and notifies Lab Manager of pending rushes.
  • Maintains log of nuclear equipment checked in or out.
  • Ensures the dispatch log is completed daily and that all Field Technicians have submitted all necessary tests and marked complete on appropriate dispatches.
  • Assists the Lab Manager, when necessary, with work orders and Technician paperwork issues.
  • Manages the scheduling deployment usage of all field technicians.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • English language skills: ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to coworkers and clients.
  • Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning skills: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Organizational skills: ability to prioritize and organize tasks and assignments; ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Remote connectivity device (e.g., smart phone, tablet, etc.) with data plan sufficient for company requirements, including multi-factor authentication, time and mileage tracking, expense reimbursement, e-mail, and virtual communications.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENT
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred: ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking customers/clients.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature.
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Ability to sit up to eight hours per day.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk, including uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to manipulate computer mouse up to eight hours per day.
  • Ability to see clearly 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more; ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds intermittently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Variable work hours as projects dictate; occasional overtime or weekend work required.

This position includes safety-sensitive job functions, and random screenings will be conducted in accordance with CEC’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
