Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an (Electric Test) Technician to perform comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing at our Anderson, SC facility. The role requires reading schematics, using multimters and test equipment, and maintaining strict safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include quality verification, calibration checks, and collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with electrical testing in manufacturing or commissioning preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using multimeters, insulation testers, torque tools, and other electrical test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting principles.

• Documentation: Accurately complete test reports, inspection checklists, redlines, and electronic documentation systems.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times.
• Calibration Awareness: Ensure testing equipment is within calibration requirements prior to use and report any discrepancies.
• Process Adherence: Follow standardized testing procedures to maintain consistency, reliability, and repeatability of results.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve test processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and on-time project completion.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills for documentation and test reporting systems
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted.
• able to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
