Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a Test Specialist to build and maintain test assets and infrastructure, and to execute critical test campaigns for rapid development.

You will work on a broad range of subsystems, gain growth opportunities, and collaborate with a fast-paced group dedicated to groundbreaking aerospace tech.

The role offers hands-on testing across hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and airframe components, requiring a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Base-level proficiency on fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition is a plus.
• Self-motivated and proactive; able to own tasks and drive to completion.
• Ability to work in a dynamic test environment, quickly adapting to challenges.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, build, and commission various test assets to meet company needs, from test rigs to large-scale test cells.
• Modify and upgrade existing test assets to expand capability or meet program objectives.
• Execute tests safely and efficiently to meet objectives and deliver high-quality data.
• Learn and operate DAQ and control system software for various test setups.
• Assist with test planning, setup, and readiness to ensure smooth execution of test operations.
• Develop expertise on the test assets you work on, becoming a trusted technical resource.

About The Role

As a Test Specialist at Hermeus you will have the opportunity to build and maintain test assets and infrastructure as well as execute test campaigns that are critical to Hermeus’s core development approach of rapid, iterative testing. This position offers a unique opportunity for growth and development while working on groundbreaking technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of vehicle subsystems including hydraulic system, fuel system, mechanisms, high-voltage, mechanisms, airframe structural, and more!

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, build, and commission various test assets to meet company needs ranging from test rigs and stands up to larger-scale test cells and facilities.
• Modify and perform upgrades to existing test assets to expand capability or meet program objectives.
• Execute tests in a safe, efficient, and precise manner to meet test objectives and deliver a high-quality test data product.
• Learn and operate data acquisition (DAQ) and control system software for various test setups.
• Assist with test planning, setup, and readiness to ensure smooth execution of test operations.
• Develop expertise on the test assets you work on, becoming a trusted technical resource within the team.

Requirements

• Versatile, well-rounded skillset with at least a base-level of proficiency working on fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with common instrumentation and data acquisition systems is a plus.
• Self-motivated and proactive. Able to take ownership of tasks and drive things to completion.
• Ability to work in a dynamic test environment, quickly adapting to challenges.

$35 - $55 an hour
