Job summary

Responsibilities

• Execute setup and preparation of generator sets for testing, including fluids, controllers, fuel lines, battery cables, exhaust systems, and data cables.
• Conduct functional testing of generator set accessories to validate performance against specifications.
• Operate computerized test equipment to record and analyze test data and document results clearly.
• Communicate test prep status and results to internal teams to support workflow.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols during testing.

Position Summary

The Production Tester 1 positionis responsible forproduction prepping of gaseous and diesel generator sets for the test bays andassistingwith setup and teardown within the testbaysas necessary.

What you will be doing

• Execute comprehensive setup and preparation of generator sets for testing, including installation of fluids, programming controllers, and connecting all required fuel lines, battery cables, exhaust systems, and data/sensing cables.
• Conduct functional testing of generatorset accessories by powering up each component andvalidatingoperational performance against specifications.
• Operate advanced computerized test equipment to accurately enter, retrieve, and analyze test data, ensuring precise documentation of results.
• Clearly communicate test preparation status and results to internal teams to support efficient workflow and issue resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental protocols throughout the testing process.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations experience.

• Familiarity with safety protocols and quality standards in assembly operations.
• Mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations experience
• Basic mechanical knowledge andproficiencywith hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Mental & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Pay Range

Pay ranges for remote employees are based on the state where the employee resides and may vary from the posted range. $22.92 - $34.38-Hourly Location: Mankato, MN
