Job description

Talascend is currently seeking a Test Technician for a contract opportunity located in Vista, CA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute and lead manufacturing system testing
• Participate and contribute to Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
• Conduct software/firmware installation and updates
• Install operating systems (OS) on PCs
• Load system images
• Perform hard drive cloning
• Interface with component GUIs to configure components
• Troubleshoot PCs and peripherals
• Program PLCs
• Assemble computer racks, cabling, and small assemblies
• Provide manufacturing feedback to engineering on test plans and procedures
• Assist with developing work instructions
• Complete manufacturing-related documentation
• Adhere to company regulatory and compliance policies

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• US Citizenship required
• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Additional experience may substitute for degree
• Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco, or Routers preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing or R&D
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
