Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled technician leader to guide test technicians and coordinate multi-project efforts in a fast-paced environment. You will prioritize testing objectives, develop new techniques, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to safe, high-quality operations.

The role emphasizes data evaluation, calibration fundamentals, and collaboration across departments to achieve testing goals and performance targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable technician experience and training with demonstrated knowledge of Solar’s turbomachinery products, with emphasis on testing and/or metrology methods.
• Applicable technical Associates’ degree, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates work between various projects to support testing objectives and prioritizes inputs from competing interests.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Principal Accountabilities

• Understands, complies and advocates company EHS procedures and frequently coaches others for safety.
• Plans and coordinates complex work assignments and department projects independently or as a member of a team.
• Demonstrates sound technical judgment and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical problems.
• Serves as the department focal point for expertise and knowledge in at least one key skill areas.
• Trains and mentors lower salary grade technicians. Relied upon to apply refined, specialized technical expertise.

Compensation & Benefits

$38.74-$58.10 Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:
