Job summary

Moog in Torrance, CA is seeking a Test Systems Deployment Engineer to bring complex aerospace test systems from final design through deployment, installation, validation and customer acceptance.

You will own the integration of multi-axis servo-hydraulic and electromechanical test equipment, collaborate with design engineers, and drive verification tests, documentation, and deployment readiness at Moog and customer sites in the US and abroad.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience with development, integration, production testing, or deployment of complex engineering systems.
  • Experience with closed-loop servo-hydraulic, electromechanical, or automated test equipment.
  • Willingness to travel 10–15%, domestic and international.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment and customer acceptance of advanced test equipment.
  • Support assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of multi-axis servo-hydraulic and electromechanical test systems.
  • Partner with design engineers to resolve issues during system build and integration.
  • Develop and execute verification test procedures, analyze results, and drive issue resolution.
  • Coordinate customer validation and correlation testing activities.
  • Ensure software, calibration procedures, and technical documentation are released prior to deployment.
  • Assess facility readiness and support installation activities at Moog and customer locations.
  • Develop user documentation and conduct operator training.
  • Maintain configuration management and ensure compliance with established engineering processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance deployment effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

We're looking for a Test Systems Deployment Engineer to join our team in Torrance, CA. In this role, you'll be responsible for bringing complex aerospace test systems from final design through deployment, installation, validation, and customer acceptance.

As Test Systems Deployment Engineer, you’ll own the final integration, validation, and deployment of mission-critical aerospace test systems supporting some of the world's most advanced military aircraft programs. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on integration, troubleshooting complex systems, collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines, and seeing projects through to successful delivery.

To be considered for Test Systems Deployment Engineer, here’s what you’ll typically bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience supporting development, integration, production testing, or deployment of complex engineering systems.

  • Experience with closed-loop servo-hydraulic, electromechanical, or automated test equipment.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex technical environments.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15%, including occasional domestic and international travel.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

It’s preferred if you bring:
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and systems engineering.

  • Aerospace or defense industry experience.

  • Experience with automated test systems, controls, PLCs, NI/LabVIEW, or related technologies.

  • Experience supporting customer acceptance testing and field deployments.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working with international customers and deployment locations.

As Test Systems Deployment Engineer, you will:
  • Lead the deployment and customer acceptance of advanced test equipment used to validate aerospace flight control systems.

  • Support the assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of multi-axis servo-hydraulic and electromechanical test systems.

  • Partner with design engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues during system build and integration.

  • Develop and execute verification test procedures, analyze results, and drive issue resolution through completion.

  • Coordinate customer validation and correlation testing activities.

  • Ensure all software, calibration procedures, technical documentation, and system configurations are complete and released prior to deployment.

  • Assess facility readiness and support installation activities at both Moog and customer locations.

  • Develop user documentation and conduct operator training.

  • Maintain configuration management and ensure compliance with established engineering processes.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance deployment effectiveness, standardization, and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide hands-on technical support when required while serving as the primary coordination point for deployment activities.

Salary Range Transparency

Torrance, CA $100,000.00-$135,000.00 Annually
