Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Test Process Development Engineer to advance PCB testing capabilities. You will design, develop, and deploy advanced test solutions, including ICT and Flying Probe, partnering with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams across global programs.

The role emphasizes data-driven improvements, fixture development, and collaboration with EMS/CM partners to ensure high reliability and manufacturability of PCBAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering as specified.
• 5+ years in PCBA testing environments.
• Strong ICT development and implementation experience.
• Experience with Teradyne Test Station or similar.
• Knowledge of ICT fixture development and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of Cp/Cpk, SPC, yield analysis.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro, Valor, or similar tools.
• Experience with EMS/CM collaboration.
• Scripting in Python or Perl; VB/C# a plus.
• Travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural test strategies for PCBAs across production and quality validation stages.

Insight Global is seeking a Test Process Development Engineer to support a leading semiconductor technology organization focused on developing world-class electronic testing solutions.

This engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced structural test solutions for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in manufacturing test development, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration within high-tech hardware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, or related field preferred).
• 5+ years of experience supporting PCBA testing environments.
• Strong experience with In-Circuit Test (ICT) development and implementation.
• Experience working with Teradyne Test Station or comparable test platforms.
• Knowledge of ICT fixture development and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of statistical process control, yield analysis, and Cp/Cpk methodologies.
• Experience with PCB design review tools such as Cadence Allegro, Valor, or similar software.
• Previous collaboration with EMS and contract manufacturers.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages preferred.
• Exposure to Visual Basic and/or C# .NET is a plus.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills within global organizations.
