Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Test Operations Electrical Technician II/III at its Mississippi test facility to help build and operate critical test facilities supporting the Archimedes engine and Neutron launch vehicle.

You will work with a team of technicians and engineers on facility systems, safety, calibration, and testing activities, contributing to high‑pressure and cryogenic fluid systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in test operations or facility testing
• Experience designing/building/activating test facilities
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Build facility systems: IT, data acquisition, PLC, instrumentation, wiring, cameras, and comms.
• Bring specialized skill to areas of the facility to help build the best test facility systems.
• Be personally responsible for safety.
• Use knowledge to build electrical systems adhering to integrity and cleanliness.
• Hands-on checkout, calibration and testing of instrumentation and control systems for high‑pressure and cryogenic fluids.
• Set up a new shop starting with an empty high bay; help specify tools & equipment; build inventory.
• Adhere to best practices for electrical and data acquisition system buildup.
• Help stand up a test facility control room.
• Maintain situational awareness and constant communication with others involved in the test activity.
• Lead or be part of a team of technicians and engineers who setup and operate the test facility.
