Job summary

Qualifications

• 4 years of QA/test experience with manual, functional, regression, and API testing.
• 4 years defect tracking using Jira/TestRail/Azure and SDLC/Agile.
• 2 years automated testing with Selenium and Playwright.
• 2 years API testing with Postman/Swagger.
• 2 years programming/scripting (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• 2 years CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Git versioning (Git).
• 1 year cloud basics and 1 year performance testing (JMeter, Lighthouse).
• 1 year test reporting/monitoring (Allure, Grafana, Kibana).

Responsibilities

People Inc. Group has an opening for a Test Lead in New York, NY.

The position duties are as follows: Responsible for reviewing requirements and working closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to ensure the software meets quality standards and is ready for release. Daily job duties include:

• Analyze testing patterns and effectively communicate insights to managers.
• Monitor application health during and post-deployment by analyzing logs, metrics, and test results.
• Lead efforts to improve test processes across multiple SCRUM teams in collaboration with managers.
• Debug CI/CD test infrastructure for functional test orchestration.
• Provide constructive feedback on test scenarios developed by senior QA analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Align technical testing strategies with business objectives to ensure seamless integration.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs with APM tools to identify application boundary issues.
• Utilize expertise in test automation creation and test maintenance activities on a daily basis to oversee framework and ensure maintenance best practices.
• Identify and remediate flaky tests through root cause analysis and test stabilization techniques.
• Troubleshoot Jenkins job failures and pipeline errors to ensure continuous delivery stability.
• Analyze metrics from automated performance tests, load tests, and monitoring tools to provide actionable insights.
• Work closely with SCRUM teams to understand business priorities and contribute to timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Communicate status updates and priorities clearly to ensure alignment across teams.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to senior engineers to enhance readability and optimize test code.
• Enhance the automation framework to support and benefit other automation engineers.
• Review and critique framework implementations by senior QA engineers to drive continuous improvements.
• Offer constructive feedback to analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in technical recruiting efforts by identifying and recommending best-fit candidates.
• Design, execute, and maintain automated regression tests using Telescope, Voyager-UI, and CaseGen in JavaScript, and Nova-MCP in TypeScript, integrated with CI/CD pipelines for consistent daily coverage.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Sciences, a related technical field or foreign equivalent, followed by 4 years of experience as a quality assurance analyst or tester. Experience must include:

• 4 years of experience creating and running test cases for different types of testing, including manual, functional, regression, integration, and compatibility.
• 4 years of experience defect tracking and management (using tools Jira, TestRail or Azure).
• 4 years of experience with test management tools (including Jira) and Agile methodologies and overall SDLC.
• 2 years of experience with automated testing frameworks(including Selenium and Playwright)
• 2 years of experience testing APIs and data validation with tools such as Postman or Swagger
• 2 years of experience with basic programming/scripting (including Java, and JavaScript or TypeScript)
• 2 years of experience with CI/CD exposure (including Jenkins and GitHub Actions)
• 2 years of experience with Version control (including Git)
• 1 year of Cloud basic experience, including a demonstrated understanding of cloud-based environments, deployments and testing applications hosted on cloud infrastructure.
• 1 year of experience with performance testing tools (including JMeter and Google Lighthouse)
• 1 year of experience with test reporting and monitoring tools (e.g. Allure, Grafana, Kibana)

This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Offered Wage: $130,354/year

Pay Range

Salary:

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
