Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Sr. Test Equipment Engineer to design, develop and implement cost-effective testing methods for unmanned aircraft systems and payloads.

You will build and upgrade test equipment for PCBAs, sub-systems and full systems, leveraging C# / OOP in Visual Studio and NI TestStand/LabVIEW to meet aggressive timelines. You will create test plans, write requirements, perform root-cause analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to improve testability while delivering

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8–12 years in development test solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW or certified.
• Experience writing Test Plans from requirements.
• Experience with bug reports and root-cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, deploys, troubleshoots and upgrades test equipment for PCBAs, subsystems and systems.
• Develops test plans, requirements/specifications and strategies.
• Executes functional, performance and environmental tests on avionics power & propulsion components.
• Interacts with cross-functional teams to improve testability of designs.
• Lead activities of other team members when needed.
