Emerson in Austin, TX, invites an internship for Test Engineering to collaborate with our Test Engineers on automated test systems for NI products. You will help design PCBs, write production test code, qualify instruments for manufacturing deployments, and analyze test data to monitor system health.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Analog signal considerations.
• Sources of measurement error.
• Appropriate selection of instrumentation.
• Statistical analysis of data.
• Integration of hardware and software.
• Hands-on experience with electronic hardware.
• Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture.
• Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products.
• Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing.
• Analyzing production test data to look for trends which indicate the health of the product and/or test solution.
