Job summary

RTX is seeking a Summer and Fall Co-op in Test Engineering within the Avionics team in Melbourne, FL. You will work on test equipment solutions for Collins Aerospace products and programs. You should be enrolled in a STEM degree and able to take Fall 2026 off to participate.

You will assist Project Engineers, develop software and tools to improve processes, manage tasks, and present technical information to peers and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with C++ and C#
• Experience in AI/Data Analytics

You would need to take the fall 2026 semester off. We serve internal customers, including our manufacturing and service centers, as well as external customers – domestic and international.

What You Will Do:

• The primary responsibility for this position is to assist Project Engineers in developing and maintaining test solutions. The student who fills this position must have strong project management, process compliance and problem-solving skills.This position will heavily utilize software development and process improvement skills.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
