Job summary

BCT LLC seeks a Test Engineer Level 2 to independently test and validate HPC systems and develop testing strategies. Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with POLY is required.
• Five years of experience in similar scope programs required.
• BA/BS in Math, Science, Engineering, or Statistics required.
• Ability to develop test cases from system requirements.
• Experience with Linux CLI, file systems, permissions, and process management.

Responsibilities

• Test HPC systems and validate against test plans to ensure requirements are met.
• Design, develop and implement testing strategies including automated test execution and data analysis.
• Participate in SAFe activities (planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with team to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Utilize Linux CLI and scripting languages (Python, Bash) to troubleshoot, execute tests, and automate testing.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze test data across SQL, Splunk, and other DB platforms.
• Track, document, and report defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Review HPC system documentation and interpret requirements to provide guidance on testability.

About the job

BCT LLC is seeking a Test Engineer Level 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate must hold an active TSSCI with POLY.

Independently test and validate HPC systems in accordance with test plans to ensure that system requirements are metDesign develop and implement testing strategies including automated test execution and data analysisParticipate in all SAFe activities including but not limited to planning meetings daily stand up meetings demos and retrospectivesCollaborate with team members to develop and execute test plans for HPC systemsUtilize the Linux command line interface and scripting languages eg Python Bash to troubleshoot hardware execute tests and automate testing processesDevelop complex database queries and analyze test data across various database platforms SQL Splunk etcTrack document and report defects using defect tracking systems JIRA or similar toolsReview HPC system documentation and interpret system requirements to provide technical guidance on system testability

Required Experience

• At least five 5 years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required
• Demonstrated experience of at least three 3 years shall be within the focus areas needed by the program
• BA or BS from an accredited college or university in Math Science Engineering or Statistics or a related field is required
• Five 5 years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree
• Ability to develop test cases through the analysis of system requirements
• Experience with Linux command line interface with an understanding of file systems permissions and process management

Salary Range

Salary Range 162000 213000 The above salary range is a general guideline; however BCT LLC considers several factors when determining base salary offers including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience education skills and current market conditions
