Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Test Engineer IV in Florence, Kentucky to design, develop, and maintain test procedures for server hardware. You will diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, automate testing, and analyze performance to improve products.

You will mentor engineers and technicians, develop troubleshooting guides, and act as a liaison for customers to ensure effective collaboration on test programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience with IPC/ISO standards for failure analyses.
• 8 years of experience developing test processes for electronic assemblies using automated testers (AOI, AXI, ICT).
• Alternative education/experience options: 2 extra years experience or master’s/PhD with reduced years.

• Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues during testing and integration.

Test Engineer IV (Florence, Kentucky)

• Design, develop, and maintain test procedures, tester hardware, and software in a server manufacturing environment.
• Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related issues during testing and integration processes.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate testing, collect and analyze data, and evaluate system performance for computing servers.
• Coach test engineering technician staff to deliver high-quality results.
• Train and mentor engineers, technicians, and support staff on testing processes and procedures.
• Act as a technical liaison for assigned customers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop troubleshooting guides for complex repairs of the computing servers and train the technicians on new models being produced at the factory.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field and 8 years of experience working with IPC and ISO standards to conduct failure analyses and confirm quality standards.
• Must have 8 years of experience developing test processes for electronic assemblies using automated functional testers, including AOI, AXI, and ICT.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field and 8 years of experience as stated, employer will accept two additional years of experience as stated, a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated.
• Must have 3 years of experience conducting failure analysis on electronics circuits, analog, RF, and high power.
• Must have 2 years of experience: o Developing troubleshooting tools for computing servers; o Creating troubleshooting guides; and o Working with PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) standard on Linux.
• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
