Job summary

Echodyne seeks a TEST ENGINEER II to focus on off-radar software. You will design, execute, and maintain test scenarios for complex web-based apps and APIs, analyze requirements, and contribute to test strategies.

Collaborate across software, product, and firmware teams to improve testability and quality. You will perform manual UI/API testing and build automated tests using Python, Playwright, and Selenium, supporting testing environments and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or test engineering roles, with a focus on web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques.
• Experience with UI and API test automation, including writing and maintaining automated tests (Python preferred).
• Experience working in environments with hardware and software dependencies.
• Practical knowledge of Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain software test scenarios for complex web-based applications and APIs.
• Analyze product requirements and architecture to contribute to test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria for our user interfaces and backend services.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports; manage defects through resolution.
• Perform manual UI and API testing, as well as exploratory testing, to identify product risks, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Build and maintain automated tests where they provide clear value, contributing to existing frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Collaborate with software development, product, and firmware teams to improve testability and overall quality.
• Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution across projects and releases.
• Promote strong testing practices and a quality-first mindset, participating in peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
