Textron Systems is seeking a Test Engineer II to support weapon system development within the Advanced Programs team. You will plan, coordinate, and execute tests across components, subsystems, and systems, using data acquisition systems and instrumentation to deliver actionable results.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication. Opportunities exist for career progression, with a culture of growth within Textron.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in system-level and mechanical structure testing for defense or aerospace programs.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD standards (MIL-STD-810 or SMC-S-016).
• Active Secret clearance required; SAP clearance eligibility, Top Secret preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to meet requirements and standards.
• Prepare/test plans, procedures, readiness reviews, and reports for various tests.
• Support data collection with data acquisition systems, accelerometers, strain gauges, and test instrumentation.
• Assist in product installation, integration, testing, data acquisition, and analysis.
• Provide quick-look analysis and post-test debriefs to engineering teams and customers.
• Coordinate with program, engineering, and external organizations during planning and reporting.
• Communicate effectively and maintain good organizational practices.
• Travel 10% of the time.
