Job summary

SNC-LAVALIN CONSTRUCTORS INC. is seeking a Test Engineer II to develop and execute complex test plans for aerospace and defense systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and ensure high-quality performance across multiple environments.

The role emphasizes system- and component-level testing, with focus on verification, validation, and ensuring adherence to design specifications. Some travel may be required.

Job description

  • Conduct system, sub-system, and component-level testing, including functional, performance, and environmental tests.

  • Identify, document, troubleshoot, and facilitate resolution of issues and anomalies.

  • Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
  • Proficient understanding of test and evaluation principles and methodologies.
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
  • Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
  • Current and active United States Secret security clearance.
  • Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing.
  • Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
  • Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances.
  • Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment.
