Job summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking highly motivated Test Engineers to design, develop, and maintain automated test equipment for defense systems. You will develop automated test software with LabVIEW, build test frameworks in Java, and collaborate across design, development, and manufacturing to ensure testability and quality.

The role requires a strong background in test methodologies, experience with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, and the ability to obtain US citizenship for security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a test engineering role, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple engineering and tooling disciplines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, requiring US Citizenship.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation using National Instruments LabVIEW.
  • Strong programming skills in Java for test script development and automation.
  • Experience with various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system specifications.
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience with statistical tools for data analysis and visualization.
  • Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 3+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
  • May be required to maintain security clearance.

Position Summary

Ultra Maritime is seeking highly motivated and skilled Test Engineers to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test equipment to support the production of complex defense systems. This role requires a strong understanding of test methodologies, automated test hardware and software, and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers.
