About The Role

As a Test Engineer I at Sierra Space, you will begin your career by contributing to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components. In this role, you will assist in the planning, conducting, and documenting of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for aerospace systems and components. You will develop a conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices, applying them to support testing activities while collaborating with multi-disciplinary design and development teams under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure effective system integration and performance. Utilizing schematics, service manuals, test procedures, and logical troubleshooting techniques, you will support testing activities and resolve routine technical problems. You will contribute to the generation and disposition of product non-conformances, ensuring adherence to Product and Quality Assurance principles, and help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity by leveraging familiarity with engineering and testing principles. Following instructions from senior engineers, you will work collaboratively within the team to achieve project goals and milestones. Additionally, you will prepare and document test data, reports, and technical information to support project initiatives and team decision-making, while clearly communicating technical concepts and information both verbally and in writing to team members and senior engineers.
