Job summary

VTG seeks an experienced Expert Test Engineer for its Apps Team to standardize and centralize enrichment efforts in a robust, scalable testing environment. You will test web apps built with React and TypeScript and Node.js services, utilizing front-end and back-end testing frameworks, CI/CD integration, and containerized deployments.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, plus experience with accessibility testing tools and Elasticsearch testing via Jest

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing for web applications.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and processes.
• Testing applications built with React and TypeScript.
• Testing Node.js server applications.
• Familiar with front-end and back-end testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, Mocha, Chai, Supertest, Postman, Newman, Selenium WebDriver, Katalon Studio).
• Version control systems (Git).
• CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Monitoring progress of multiple concurrent and visible projects.

What will you do?

Experience

• Software testing, preferably with web applications
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Testing applications built with React and TypeScript
• Testing Node.js server applications
• Advanced testing frameworks and tools, such as front-end (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright), back-end (Mocha, Chai, Supertest, Postman, Newman), or end-to-end (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Katalon Studio)
• Version control systems (e.g., Git)
• CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows
• Monitoring the progress of multiple concurrent and highly visible projects and requirements

PayRange: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $160,000-$210,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
