Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking a Test and Product Engineer to contribute across a broad product portfolio and global manufacturing network. You will engage in probe and final test development for mixed-signal ICs, collaborating with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability to meet post-release goals.

The role emphasizes qualification and characterization, process improvement, and technologies for new facilities, with a focus on quality, yield, and cost

Qualifications

• Background in probe and final test development for complex mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience with product lifecycle management including optimization of manufacturing processes, quality, flow and cost.

Responsibilities

• Develop ATE test hardware and software, including qualification hardware development.
• Perform qualification and characterization of integrated circuits to meet specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability in post-release activities.
• Work with failure analysis to determine root cause of reliability/qualification failures.
• Develop and qualify technologies for new manufacturing facilities.
• Address customer quality, yield management and cost reductions across mature products with global facilities.
• Analyze customer returns and lead process improvement activities such as test coverage enhancements to improve quality.
• Analyze yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time.

The ideal candidate has a background in probe and final test development for complex mixed-signal circuits, project management, and product lifecycle management—including the optimization of manufacturing processes, quality, flow, and cost.

Responsibilities include:

• Development work in support of a broad range of analog multiplexers, protection diodes, transceivers, and isolation advanced Integrated Circuits that address Automotive and Industrial markets.
• Collaborate and work in a team environment with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability in all aspects of post-release activities to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Develop ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software, including qualification hardware development.
• Perform qualification & characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures.
• Work with process and package technology development to develop and qualify technologies for new manufacturing facilities.
• Work closely with the global manufacturing facilities to address customer specific product quality, yield management and cost reductions issues on mature products.
• Analyze customer returns, engaged on process improvement activities like test coverage improvements to improve product overall quality.
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time.
