Job summary

DESE Research, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analyst to join a seasoned AVMC lab team supporting development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The role involves real‑time HWIL, software/hardware integration, and rigorous analysis of complex models.

You will design analysis tools, develop test cases, and perform performance analysis, M&S, post‑flight reconstruction, and risk reduction efforts. Travel up to 10% and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
• Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors to a broad audience.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Ability to multi-task and work across multiple efforts.
• Must have an active Secret clearance.

• Support a broad range of projects, including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), post‑flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
• Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles, concepts, and methods.
• Analyze and document results of test cases in software and hardware test report documentation.
• Develop system requirements to support system functionality.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Direct operational or test experience with Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
• Experience in real‑time analysis using Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD).
• Experience in C, C++, Linux/Unix operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
