Responsibilities
  • Execute customer test projects from initial planning through setup, fabrication, testing, and completion in accordance with customer statements of work, test plans, and applicable requirements.
  • Independently design, set up, instrument, and oversee assigned test activities as required by customer test plans, specifications, and instructions.
  • Operate a variety of computer-automated and manual test equipment, including data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration and shock systems, and measurement transducers.
  • Design, develop, and assemble test fixtures that meet customer requirements, test plans, and applicable test standards.
  • Direct and lead test technicians in support of assigned test activities to ensure accurate and efficient execution.
  • Author test plans, test procedures, work instructions, and other technical documentation as required for each project.
  • Analyze, review, and document test data to ensure accurate test results and compliance with internal documentation processes.
  • Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and program status meetings with customers and internal personnel.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication and working relationships with Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams to support project execution and broader company objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple test activities and projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Support project engineering and project coordination tasks, including status updates, technical discussions, and documentation control.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, addressing technical questions, and ensuring that test projects align with customer expectations.
  • Support or manage engineering test projects, including planning, resource coordination, and oversight of test execution.
  • Read, interpret, and follow industry standards, test specifications, and customer test plans to ensure compliance in all test activities.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant engineering, test, laboratory, or technical project experience preferred; strong hands-on internship, research, or project experience is acceptable for recent graduates.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, strong organizational ability, and excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems (DAQs) used for test article command, control, monitoring, and data collection.
  • Ability and interest to work on multiple projects across different engineering disciplines simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, customers, and other internal departments.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status, due to access to U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Eligibility to be added as a possessor under an explosives license, subject to applicable requirements.
  • Valid drivers license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service skills in a technical setting, including responsiveness and clear communication.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly technical environment that supports aerospace, telecommunications, military, and other industrial sectors.
Work Environment

Work takes place primarily in climate‑controlled laboratory and office environments within a multi‑building, specialized test campus. Test Engineers regularly work in test laboratories supporting environmental and mechanical testing activities, using equipment such as environmental chambers, vibration and shock systems, data acquisition systems, and various measurement transducers. Office‑based work includes project planning, data analysis, documentation, and reporting. Some duties may occasionally occur in warehouse or non‑climate‑controlled areas when supporting test setup, equipment movement, or customer hardware handling. Depending on the specific laboratory and test requirements, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear, may be required in designated areas. The broader facility supports a wide range of aerospace, telecommunications, military, and industrial testing, offering exposure to diverse technologies and complex test programs in a collaborative, technically focused environment.
